Our Advice for Panhellenic Recruitment

Milana Bolash, President: Value authenticity and do not be afraid to let your true self show! It is so important to not only be authentic but find a chapter where you feel that your real authentic self is accepted and loved. That is how I knew I found my home at Alpha Delta Pi. There was no judgment, only laughter and connections. When you find a house where you are not worrying about being judged and can be yourself, that's how you'll know where you belong. I wish for all of you to find that same joy I did in Alpha Delta Pi no matter where you go.

Katherine Muck, Vice President of Operations: Keep an open mind when going through recruitment! You might not find your sisters right away, but this is all a process about finding your best fit. Don't be nervous to ask real questions and show your personality. You don't need to treat recruitment like a job interview. When you are genuinely yourself, you'll be able to make meaningful connections and form friendships that will last past recruitment. It can also be stressful, especially this year, so make sure you're taking care of yourself.

Reese Brown, Vice President of Membership Experience: As you begin your journey going through Panhellenic Recruitment, I want to encourage you to have an open mind. Many of us, when we first look into Recruitment, start doing research and some know which chapter they want to belong to before Recruitment begins. While this is totally understandable (going through Recruitment is exciting!) it's also important to trust the Recruitment process and trust your gut. Recruitment is set up the way it is for a reason, and it's supposed to help and support you!

My other recommendation is to look for a chapter full of women that inspire you to grow into the best version of yourself. When I first walked into the Alpha Delta Pi house, I was surrounded by inspiring women that I wanted to be like, and that's when I knew that this sisterhood was not only going to support me academically and socially, but also support my emotional and spiritual growth as a leader and a woman. I hope each and every one of you finds the sisterhood that encourages you to be your best self, and gives you the confidence and support to help you for the next four years, and throughout your life.

Alex Osredker, Vice President of Marketing: Here at Alpha Delta Pi, we have a saying about our sisters: being an ADPi isn’t something you wait to become or transform into--it’s something you already are. My intuition knew from day one that I was, had been, and always would be an Alpha Delta Pi. I still loved getting to know the 12 other wonderful chapters and make connections with them, but my heart was completely ADPi. So, all this to say, follow your heart and listen to your intuition. Going through recruitment isn’t about finding a place to fit in--it’s about coming home. Stay true to yourself and your values, and I promise you’ll find your way home.

Mary Bishop, Vice President of Finance: Be Courageous. Going through recruitment is nerve-wracking--PNMs meet so many new people within a short span of time, and sometimes our nerves get the best of us in unfamiliar social situations. It is so important to have courage because it opens the door to being confident and to being yourself. The entire point of sorority recruitment is to find people you can relate to and be friends with. If you put aside the nerves and channel courage, you will have the confidence to make genuine connections with active chapter members you talk to, and that makes the entire process so special.

Hannah Springer, Vice President of Member Development: Recruitment is a fun, wild, and challenging time, but the results are so worth it. Running home to your sisters for life is an indescribable feeling. Remember to be yourself in order to find which sorority is the right fit for you. Your future sisters will accept all your quirks without judgement and accept you and your true self.

Emi Short, Vice President of Event Management: My advice for recruitment (as cheesy as it sounds), is to be authentic. The right people will appreciate you for your individuality. I think you will feel a sense of comfort when you find the organization that fits your values. Trust yourself, take care of yourself, and do not let the recruitment process change the way you think and value yourself.

We wish y’all the very best of luck and send all our love!
